Taylor and Alex: A Little Peek

Hello!  So it is Friday night and I have two weddings this weekend!  I have been prepping for them all evening, preparing the memory cards, charging the batteries, practicing on my recently purchased 5DMarkII (YAY!)  In the midst of the is weekend's prep I started perusing Alex and Taylor's wedding from last weekend.   Now, I was going to wait until Monday for a full post, but I can't resist showing these two off!  Enjoy this picture and I will have more for y'all on Monday!  Have a great weekend!

We have three winners!

Hi everyone!  This past Sunday I had pleasure of participating in the KY Bride Bridal Show!  Gabe and I had a blast talking with all of the lovely brides to be.  For this show I decided to have a contest, giving away three shoots to three lucky brides.  Thanks for everyone who entered their name!  We had about 100 brides!  For those of you whose names remain in the pot stay tuned because I plan to have another drawing in the fall.  And finally: I have drawn three winners! And they are: Ashley Campbell, Leslie Garner, and Katrina Burnett! Congrats to the three of you!  We will be contacting you this week to set up your shoot!

In other news:  I am published!  Yay!  The fabulous KY Bride magazine choose Zach and Becky's wedding for feature in the Summer 2010 issue.  Wahoo!  I am super excited!  Check it out!  And be sure to pick up a copy at either Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Barnes & Noble, Joseph-Beth Booksellers or Meijer.

Joy and Brian: Engaged

I had the pleasure of spending the evening with Joy and Brian on Monday for their engagement session.  They are so much fun an were so relaxed!  I am really pleased with the way the shoot turned out.  I cannot wait for October, Joy and Brian!  Enjoy!

I grabbed this shot above when I told Joy and Brian I was just shooting her ring.  And it is my favorite!  Hehe.

Whitney and Tyler

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a splendid 4th!  We did!  I had a very happy birthday yesterday with family and friends.  I ate a lot.  Gabe ate a lot of shrimp last night and it didn't sit well, to say the least. Poor thing.  We are pretty sure he is allergic. I decided to work today because Gabe and I spent a lot of time last week working on the house so I took off for that.  We are getting a lot done!  MLP has a wedding show this weekend (KY Bride) so we are gearing up that.  Make sure to stop by our booth to throw your name in our hat for some great giveaways!

Enjoy these pictures from the wedding last weekend!  Congrats to Tyler and Whitney!  Hope you all had fun in Jamaica!

Whitney's eyes are incredible!  No contacts, people!

Haven't seen groomsmen jump like this in awhile.  Thanks, guys!

Piper and Tyler: Engaged!

Happy Friday!  After this blog post, I am headed out for the weekend!  Why?  Because Sunday (yes, the 4th!) is my birthday!  I have the best birthday ever, if I do say so myself.  I love that I am guaranteed a fireworks show for my birthday (except last year when I was in France for the 4th).  And I am honored to share a bday with our great nation.  Anyway, I am looking forward to a weekend off with friends, family and Gabe.  In other news, I changed my name yesterday.  It is official, I am Mary Ruth Lawson!  FYI, we are keeping the business name Mary Lashbrook Photography for now.  So all photo stuff (site, logo, etc) is the same.

Below are pictures from Piper and Tyler's engagement session.  Gabe went with me and we all had a great time.  We love this couple!  Enjoy and happy 4th!  I'll be 26 next time I blog!!  Oh, brother.

Sarah and Jordan

I love Mondays.  The week is so hopeful.  I love that I can be choosy with my to-do list on Monday because there are still four more days to get everything done.  Yay! I love being married too.  It has been three weeks!  One of my favorite things about being married is the coffee!  Every morning Gabe makes delicious coffee and pours me a cup, just the way I like it.  He's so good to me.  And having the coffee with him is even better.

Enjoy these pictures from last weekend.  This was a great wedding for us, so fun and relaxed.  Sarah is an old family friend and has grown up to be an incredibly smart and beautiful girl.  I love these pictures!  Congrats you two!  Have fun in Costa Rica!

Gabe took this shot above and it is awesome!

The wedding was book themed.  Brilliant.

My favorite thing about this picture is my mom.  She's on the right with the "oh-no-he-didn't" look.  Ha!
