Megan & Matt: Lexington Wedding Photography

This colorful baseball themed wedding was right up our alley, or baseline I should say.  I have known Matt's family for ages and Gabe loves baseball. Megan did a beautiful job with all of the details, from her hair accessories to her bouquet to the baseball cards on the tables.  One of my favorite parts of the day was our portrait location.  There wasn't a lot of room at the church so Gabe and I took 16 willing wedding party members to a park nearby.  It was a bit of a hike but everyone was very gracious.  Thanks for including us and congrats to you both!  You are lovely couple! Aubrey & Anna: Lexington Children's Photography

These sisters and their family have been with me from the beginning.  I feel old typing this, but they have grown into such sweet, beautiful girls! Anna (the younger sister) drew me a picture before the shoot.   I worked with their mom at a high school here in town before I started my business.  Did you know I taught photography before starting HHP?  It was quite the adventure.  I now greatly admire teachers and own a couple of very cute lunchboxes. I have been blogging a lot this week so scroll down for about six new posts and enjoy!

Have an awesome weekend!

Baby Eli: Lexington Baby Photography

Eli and her mom were in from Chicago so we had  limited time to schedule her portrait session.  Of course the morning we scheduled it we got rained out.  We braved the dark blues skies for about a half hour, took cover and rescheduled part two.  It was a success! Happy Friday to all.  Gabe and I have another day off from weddings this weekend so I am looking forward to some editing time, hang out time, and pedicure time with my mom and sister.  Wahoo!

Alex: Lexington Senior Photography

Yes, we do senior sessions!  I  enjoy senior sessions because they provide a chance to be creative with just one person.  Alex chose three perfect outfits for her shoot.  And she looked awesome in them.  They were cute, colorful and each one was different.  It was a scorcher of an evening and we got eaten up by mosquitoes but it was worth it. Thanks so much to Alex and her mom, Debbie!

Carly & Tony: Lexington Engagements

This engagement shoot is a great reason to schedule your photos for late evening, around 7:30pm this time of year.  As the sun sets, the light is softer and warmer than it is at midday.  Also, when the sun is lower, you can really showcase it and all of its flare!  After all, photography means "drawing with light." PS - Thanks for spending golden hour with me, Tony and Carly.  Looking forward to your wedding day.
