Easter Holiday 2011

If you are living in the Bluegrass state, then you most likely had a very wet Easter Sunday.  I hope all the rain didn't put a damper on your holiday!  Hehe.  Despite the tornado weather, Gabe and I celebrated a lovely Easter with our family.  We were in Louisville for the weekend and then came back to Lexington to have dinner with my folks, siblings, and nephews.  Here are few pictures from the Lashbrook side of things. Have a great Tuesday!  Less than a week until we launch our new brand.  I am working like a busy little bee making sure everything is in order for the launch and our giveaways.  What are we giving away, you ask?  Here's a hint for one of the gift cards:  think yogurt.  Froyo to be exact.

This egg is concerned he's going to be found.

Heather and Jack: Frankfort Wedding Photography

There is something about Heather and Jack; Gabe and me; and the weather.  It snowed for part one of their engagement shoot.  Part two was freezing.  Their wedding day began with a huge storm.  The storm not only frightened me (large hail, threatened my good hair day) but it also saddened me.  Why? The wedding was at Buffalo Trace Distillery which is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in Kentucky to shoot a wedding.  I was looking forward to shooting all over the distillery.  But guess what happened?!  The rain stopped right before the portraits!  I was thrilled, especially after looking through the pictures for this post.  The day could not have been more beautiful. Katrina, Heather's sister, is the matchmaker in their story.   She and Jack were pharmacy school classmates and she introduced them one night.  They started dating and realized how much fun they had together and eventually how much in love they were.  I love that they have a ton of chemistry and yet they also remind me of a seasoned married couple by the way they interact and seem to know what each other is thinking.  We loved working for them and are so glad to have made new friends.

If she looks this gorgeous in the getting ready photos, just keep scrolling for the portraits!

The flowers were done by the talented Beth at Ivory Rose Florist.  There is a complete list of vendors at the end of this post.

See why I'm glad it stopped raining?

It is not fair to be this beautiful in candids.

Love the guys' ties.

A little off camera lighting fun.  I shoot and Gabe sets up the light.  Sometimes the flash goes off in Gabe's face.

The shot below is Gabe's.  It rocks.  PS - Heather, you have fabulous style.

See what I mean by chemistry.

I love this stone wall.  The photos below are my favorites.

So stunning.

Jack is looking quite dapper.

Oh wait!  Maybe these are my favorites!

The band was awesome!

Our friends.  Heather, Jack and Gabe looks as good as she did when the day began.  I look like I need to go to bed.  Creativity look it's toll on me.
