Dallyce and Matt: Part One of an Amazing Day

All I can say is: BEST NEW YEARS EVER!  Yes, I know we were working but Gabe and I had a blast with this couple and their wonderful family and friends.  We felt like part of the family with this crew.  We laughed with the wedding party and danced with the guests (including me with Dallyce's dad!).  Dallyce has impeccable taste and I fell in love with every detail of her wedding: the dress, the veils, the church, the shoes (she had four shoe options, as did I on my wedding day).  This is the first half of the day; getting ready, ceremony, and wedding party.  Enjoy!

Gabe got this one below!  Way to go, honey!

Dallyce's beautiful dress is from The Couture Closet in LaGrange, Kentucky.

The girl's dresses are from Twirl.  Lovely!

In case you are wondering what I look like as I work with a wedding party.  I almost wiped out about three times at this church.  I kept taking my shoes off to stand on the pews so I was sliding all over the place.  Plus, sometimes I get excited and start running around all over the place like this crazy bee with a camera, increasing my falling potential.  Okay, enough falling talk.  I am having a sad flash backs to the "Mary wiped out on her lens" incident of 2008.  Not pretty.

Dallyce found her fabulous birdcage veil and fur on Etsy.

Baby Cozzie

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this sweet little angel.  I am just going to say it - babies are so adorable!  The yawning, the stretching, the "smiling" - it's all so beautiful.  Every time she moved we (her parents and me) were oohhing and ahhing.  You all are wonderful parents and she is one lucky girl!  Also, a big thank you to this little girl's aunt, who scheduled this surprise shoot.  I can't wait to see you!

I love her expression in this one! (below)

Sweetness...

Such a regal dog...

What a family...

One of my favorites...

Kennedy, Lily, and Family

Remember Baby James? The adorable arm-flexing, Egyptian-walking, John Wall baby?  Well, these are his cousins and they are equally adorable!  Their parents are great too!  These girlies rocked it out in pink and were a lot of fun to work with.  Ande (mom) wanted to go ahead and schedule the shoot in January so I was tasked with finding an indoor location.  I finally decided on the Bell House.  I've shot a few receptions there and love it's architecture and ambiance.  Their management was more than happy to let us shoot inside the house.  We hopped outside for a few pictures too.  Brr.  I always suggest shooting a couple pictures outside, even if it is cold, for the variety.  I assume it's not a huge deal because I get to wear a coat and gloves.  So thanks to all my clients who have gone outside with me and endured the cold! Thanks Marc and Ande!  Enjoy your pictures.  You are a beautiful family.

Dallyce and Matt: Sneak Peek

I am still going through Dallyce and Matt's wedding but wanted to show off a few for now.  Gabe and I were so lucky to spend New Year's Eve with this couple.  I am loving these portraits!  Dallyce found the perfect wedding chapel in Versailles.  It was quaint, beautiful, and had the best stained glass windows. We are headed to a photo shoot this afternoon...outside...brrr!  Have a great afternoon!

Dallyce, you are stunning.

Heather and Jack: UK Engagement Shoot

Can I just say, we LOVE Heather and Jack.  You may remember this lovely couple from this post.  They are back for more.  Since the snow cut our first shoot short, we picked back up with part two last week. Now, Heather and Jack are big UK fans.  They met at UK...ish.  Jack met Heather's sister at school and she introduced them.  Anyway, they wanted to shoot at Commonwealth Stadium.  We figured we'd get a few exterior shoots and then head over to our next location.  Well, Gabe and I got to the the stadium a bit earlier to scout out said exterior shots.  We found an open gate!  Gabe and I instantly felt like renegades and texted Heather and Jack to meet us inside the stadium.  We were all like, "We are going to ask for forgiveness rather than permission!"  So in we went and shot til our little hearts were content.  Maybe I could have called earlier and gotten in easily.   Probably.  But sometimes it's fun to live on the edge.

We love you guys...and you rocked it out AGAIN!  Can't wait for this date!

Oh, why are you guys the cutest couple in the world?  PS: This is Gabe's angle.

I think my crazy hat and contributed to my renegade feelings about going in the stadium.  I was incognito.  Look at that trigger finger.  Ready to go!

Heather climbed a tree.

She looked so cute in the tree.

Then Jack climbed the tree.  Love this one.

Kailen and Bryan: Part Two

Let's begin with the ceremony.  Gabe got this great shot of Kailen and her dad, just before the walk down the aisle.

Tim, the pastor who married Kailen and Bryan, was our pastor too.

I love a good ring bearer yawn.  It looks like a happy yawn.

It was FREEZING outside. Everyone was  trooper though.  We were all sliding on the ice.  I had a few almost-wipeouts.

They are a good looking couple, no?

This is going in a frame.
